From Pero’s bridge, past MShed and Bathurst Basin and on to Mud Dock via Queen Square, encompassing some of Bristol’s best-recognised attractions.

ALHA walk: The old French prison at Stapleton.

Completed in 1779, the Blackberry Hill site was used as a prison and hospital during the American Revolutionary War. Greatly expanded during the war against France towards the end of the 19th century. Get a feeling of what it was like to endure life within its walls.

Led by Mike Robinson.

Meet at  Glenside Hospital Car Park (free parking), BS16 1DD at 1.45 pm


Or meet at Folk Hall car park at 12.30 - 12.45 for shared lifts.
