Our latest project is the restoration of the small piece of land at the top of Beach Hill where West Hill meets Nore Road, known as Lorymer’s Park.
This Victorian ‘park’ was a popular place for residents to gather, meet up and admire the splendid views of the channel and beyond. We have created a plan and now have costings for the project. We have asked for help in funding through Portishead Town Council, and if successful will ask for public donations to help complete the restoration. In addition funds are being raised for this project through sales of Posset Pieces.
We are looking for a small team to repaint the railings around the flagpole at the junction of Beach Road East and South Avenue. The flagpole was originally erected to celebrate Queen Victoria's Jubilee in 1897.
