Details of Albright & Wilson Phosphorus plant

The Albright & Wilson plant produced phosphorus in Portishead until 1969, when production was transferred to St Johns, Newfoundland. Subsequently, phosphorus was transported by sea from St Johns, and stored in tanks near the docks until transfer to road tankers for onward delivery.
